In this video, we’re going to be covering how to install plugins on WordPress.
This includes installing plugins from within the WordPress dashboard.
As well as UPLOADING plugins that we download from other source (zipped plugin files).

WordPress plugins are an awesome way to add extra features to our website, that WordPress doesn’t come with by default.
So, things like contact forms, product pages, and social share buttons.
And they can also help us with things like SEO and site security.
But, before we can benefit from plugins, we need to learn how to install them.
Note: I’m using WordPress.org in this video, the steps may be different on WordPress.com.
💡 Helpful tips
1. When uploading WordPress plugins (02:07 in the video).
Be sure to keep the plugin file zipped. Do NOT unzip/extract it first.
2. It can take up to 60 seconds for some plugins to upload. There used to be a loading bar in older versions of WordPress, but at the moment it’s easy to think that nothing is happening when we click Upload.
