For this guide, we’ll be using the Lazy Social Comments plugin you can find here:

Lazy Social Comments

We’ll need to do a bit of developer setup which means we’ll need to to to Facebook’s developer tools found here:

https://developers.facebook.com/

Under My Apps, we will want to click the Create App link for what our plugin needs.

With the plugin installed and activated, we will go to Settings, Lazy FB Comments in our admin area to set up the plugin. Select a name as well as the email you should be contacted at should there be an issue with your app. You may need to complete a safety check to ensure you’re not a robot.

In the Settings, Basic area we will scroll down to the Add Platform area, select website, and add the URL in the added website field. Save your changes and scroll up to copy the App ID to bring it back to your WordPress site to paste into the ID box.

The plugin’s settings will also give you customization options for loading more comments on click or on scroll. With that set up you can click Moderate Comments to moderate comments added through this method. In the page it brings up, you will be able to customize your moderation settings to limit how many days after the first comment until replies are locked. You’ll also have the ability to add other users to moderate the comments on your site.
